Framing Workshop
Framing can be one of the biggest hurdles artists face—but it doesn’t have to be intimidating.
Join Sally Jacobson for a practical workshop covering the basics of custom framing. She will walk through what artists need to know when framing their work, including the different elements and considerations that go into choosing the right presentation for a piece.
Whether you’re preparing work for an exhibition, trying to better understand your framing options, or simply want to feel more confident about getting your artwork from the studio to the gallery wall, this workshop is a great place to start.

SIX DECADES: RETROSPECTIVE OF WORKS BY L.FAHN R.
Raised in a farming community, Leslie Fahn Rosenberg developed an early appreciation for the natural world and a lasting respect for craftsmanship while working alongside her father in the family’s linoleum and tile business. After moving to Boston to attend Massachusetts College of Art, she expanded her artistic practice through landscapes, portraits, floral studies, and urban scenes inspired by the city and its people. She later established her studio in Lynn, where she worked for more than twenty-five years and became the longest-tenured artist tenant in the building at 25 Exchange Street in Lynn. Curated by her daughters, SIX DECADES celebrates the breadth of Leslie’s artistic legacy and the curiosity, sensitivity, and enduring sense of wonder that shaped more than sixty years of creative exploration.
Exhibit Hours are: Wednesdays- Fridays 1pm-7pm, Saturdays 12pm-4pm or by appointment
Play with Your Paint Night
A Studio Supply Exploration Night at The Galleries at LynnArts
Have a drawer full of mystery mediums? A tube, bottle, tool, pigment, paper, brush, or art supply you bought with great intentions but never quite figured out how to use?
Bring it to Play with Your Paint Night at The Galleries at LynnArts.
This informal, hands-on evening is all about exploration, experimentation, and shared knowledge. Artists are invited to bring materials from their studio or art practice that they do not use because they are unfamiliar, confusing, intimidating, or just waiting for the right moment. Together, we’ll test things out, ask questions, compare results, and learn from one another in a relaxed, creative environment.
Whether you are curious about acrylic mediums, inks, pastels, texture gels, odd tools, papers, mark-making materials, or something completely unexpected, this is a chance to play without pressure and discover new possibilities in your work.
All skill levels are welcome. This is not a formal class—it is a collaborative night of creative exploration, studio problem-solving, and community learning.
Come play, test, share, and leave with new ideas for your art practice.
Bring:
Your mystery materials, experimental supplies, questions, curiosity, and a willingness to share what you know.
Time:5:30pm-8:00pm
Location: The Galleries at LynnArts, Main Gallery
